Tiziana & Adrian

This retreat is hosted by husband and wife team Adrian (British) and Tiziana (Italian). Both are very well-travelled and interested in writing, art, culture and history. Tizi returned to Italy after many years working in the UK, and so has excellent English as well as Italian – she can tell you about Italian culture and traditions and you can test your Italian language skills; as well as telling you about the excellent Italian cuisine, she can demonstrate how to make pasta with a traditional hand-operated machine if this is of interest. Adrian is currently working on a (seemingly never-ending!) writing project, having had an eclectic career that has involved academic research and policy evaluation; along the way he has developed interests in permaculture and sustainable land use, collecting many useful books that are now housed in Casale di Clio’s library – all very useful when it comes to working in the nearby woods, ‘orto’ and terraced land that are owned by the couple.
