Skye Selene

Skye Selene (rewilding women) is the lead field instructor for the retreat and a survival instructor featured on the Discovery Channel’s Naked and Afraid.She is known for her approachable teaching style, humor, and ability to help beginners feel comfortable outdoors quickly.Throughout the week, Skye guides participants through practical skills, including fire building, outdoor cooking, simple shelter skills, and nature awareness exercises.Her focus is on confidence, enjoyment, and shared experience rather than hardship.Guests are encouraged to try new things at their own pace in a supportive and welcoming environment.Participants spend the majority of their time learning directly with Skye in the field, while the Maine Primitive team supports meals, logistics, and the daily flow of the program.All instructors are female.
