I’m Polly Superstar, your host at Writing With Mermaids—a space for creative misfits and anyone who’s struggled to feel at home in traditional writing or academic environments. All genders, identities, and orientations are truly welcome here. My ethos is anti-racist, trauma-informed, and deeply inclusive.I’m the author of Polly: Sex Culture Revolutionary and a lifelong creator across many mediums—writing, poetry, sculpture, painting, mixed media, performance, and ritual. While you may know me for my colorful costumes and bold artistic presence, I’m also a sensitive introvert whose journey with ADHD, chronic pain, sleep challenges, and grief has profoundly shaped my creative work.To stay grounded, I turn to nature, yoga, and meditation. I hold a 200-hour Yoga Teacher Certification from Yoga Alliance and teach private classes from my home in Las Vegas. I’m an avid lover of natural quiet, especially the restorative solitude found at hot springs.At Writing With Mermaids, my purpose is simple:to support writers and creatives as they move through blocks, reconnect with their voice, and bring their projects to life.I create retreat spaces where your stories are heard, your process is honored, and your creativity can unfold in community and calm.
