Nadiya Mahmood

Nadiya Star Yoga is led by Nadiya Mahmood, a certified yoga teacher who trained at Marianne Wells Yoga School in Costa Rica.Nadiya first began practicing yoga during her time at George Mason University and later fell in love with yoga a few years post-graduate school.Nadiya realized her mission was to share the physical, spiritual, and philosophical benefits of yoga with others.Nadiya offers a welcoming, inclusive space for all levels and blends styles such as Ashtanga, Vinyasa/flow, and power yoga.Nadiya offers group sessions, special events and provides private classes, she also offers sound-healing meditations using crystal, Tibetan bowls, drums and chimes.Operating primarily in the Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Northern Virginia area, Nadiya spreads her teachings locally and internationally, having taught yoga in multiple countries, with a goal of helping people integrate movement, breathwork, mindfulness, and community into everyday life.
