Mary Chivers

Mary Dominick Chivers is a published short-story writer and poet. She grew up in Cody, Wyoming where her family still runs a guest ranch, the 7D Ranch, in Sunlight Basin, a landscape close to her heart. A high school English teacher, she began writing poetry in her early fifties. For two decades she has led poetry workshops for children and adults. During retiremene with her husband in Wentworth, New Hampshire, she taught yoga and tends her gardens. In 1996 she published Doctor Dewey, stories from her father’s life as a Wyoming doctor and dude rancher. Her poems have appeared in an anthology, Women of the Fourteenth Moon, and in collections and periodicals like Landscapes and Legends, poems for the Andovers, ENTERLECHY International, Centripetal, and Revisions by The Talking Stone Press. She now resides back in Cody, WY, her dear place of birth and growth.
