Joseph Bonello

Joseph Bonello has been passionate about gardens, nature, and the environment since his days at school. With a handful of certificates but little experience, he impressed the Kempinski Hotel owners, who hired him on the spot, and soon became head gardener, designing their new hotel gardens.He also designed the gardens at the villa where the Zen Garden Retreat is hosted.He has been the Principal Agricultural Officer for the Ministry for Gozo since 2008 and is a founder and botanical expert for Sigar, an NGO that supports afforestation. His extensive knowledge and ability to clarify complex issues make him a wonderful person to accompany on a tour of nature.
