After 20 years in the field of social work, primarily mental health and substance use, I reached a pivotal moment when I knew it was time to create monumental change in my world.Instead of seeking new ventures in the standard 8-5 world I had come to know for the last two decades, I decided to take a leap.I had told myself I would make this change "after my kids graduated", but my heart and soul knew I could not wait any longer.So I did a thing...with two teenage sons still at home, I sold my house, moved my family into an apartment, and decided to launch my business using the equity from my home as a safety net!I set myself a date, knowing that if this did not work, my kids still depended on me....But I believed in myself and was surrounded by others who believed even more than I did.
