Emiliano Blanco

For many years, Emiliano traveled the world playing polo as a professional, developed new players, managed a polo club in the US, umpired professionally, tamed and trained ponies as well as having developed guests’ polo fitness, technique and game strategy at his own family run polo estancia. Emiliano now makes his home at Puesto Viejo, and we are thrilled to have him as our lead trainer for this retreat. Working alongside Emiliano is Julio Casares, who hails from a family of polo players and polo horse breeders. Prior to his role at Puesto Viejo, Julio was the Manager of the famed “Mar del Plata Polo Club School” in Argentina. Also. Santiago Estrada, Santiago is the cousin of the 10 handicap player, Adolfo Cambiaso ranked the #1 player in the word. Santiago is a highly talented player (6 handicap) and coach.
