Dr. Clair Le Couteur

Dr Clair Le Couteur (they/them) is a visually impaired vocalist, artist and scholar. They explore voice, resonance and folk heritage through performance, teaching and research.Clair is a specialist in vocal harmonics and somatic voice work, performing and teaching internationally at a wide range of venues including music festivals, museums, universities, theatres and galleries. Clair has received awards for their original arrangements of Anglo-Celtic folk music.Their practice-based Fine Art PhD ‘The Fictive Museum’ (RCA 2017) mapped the spaces between fact, fiction and institutional voice in museums and archives.
