Cucumbi

Cucumbi is located in the village of Barrancão, in the municipality of Alcácer do Sal, and its history takes us back to the last century when, during the Agrarian Reform, the lands were distributed and occupied by the resident population. At that time, the estate was an Agricultural Production Unit where the local population worked, managed, and distributed the goods they produced, making it a place of high historical and sentimental value for the locals. My father and Isabel acquired this estate about 18 years ago, during which they made efforts to maintain it organically. Unfortunately, their professions consumed most of their time, and in 2018 they decided to sell the estate. Tozé had a dream—to dedicate himself to agriculture—and he saw an opportunity to fulfill it by purchasing this piece of land that he loved so much. He convinced me to embark on this project, and with the help of our dear friend Fernando Oliveira and the incredible aesthetics of Sofia Albuquerque, Cucumbi was born. We changed our lives, fleeing the city, with the desire to immerse ourselves in and savor this magnificent nature, in a conscious return to simplicity. We look forward to your visit!
