Brejo Fundeiro retreat

Brejo Fundeiro Retreat is dedicated holistic retreat sanctuary, created for a Tutor/organiser to run their group retreat with min 6 to up to max 17 participants, who are investing time into their personal evolution. (We sleep and provide food for max 17 people) Your group will have exclusive use of the entire venue for the duration of the retreat. (The Tutor/Organiser stays completely free if they bring 8 or more paying students) Your students are only aware of one inclusive price they pay; you add your fee on top of our full-board vegetarian prices, add any additional services we offer like a sound bath concert, transfers, etc to make a bespoke unique retreat. Set in a rural valley surrounded by eucalyptus forest plantation, just think of being located on a farm. The venue consists of the main Manor house (over 100 years old), shaded courtyard garden for al-fresco eating, herb & flower garden, vegetable garden, orchard, yoga shala, swimming pool, ruins in a secluded valley. Perfect setting for your exclusive group retreat in rural central Portugal where mainstream tourism doesn't exist yet. Here at Brejo in the middle of the peaceful mountainous region of central Portugal, where we still collect spring water to drink from free public springs, bath in mineral water direct from the earth, swim in rivers and lakes and walk through manned forests; where you see no other person. Although we don't see ourselves as part of the eco-tourism, but rather see eco-friendly as a part of our daily lifestyle to look after the environment and our impact on it. We grow organic vegetables, herbs, fruit, which is not only a practice, but defines and influence our complete lifestyle. Therefore we do as much as we can to limit our impact on the environment. This includes basic things like a Saltwater swimming pool, recycling 90% of all our waste (we have no rubbish collection), composting, using Thermodynamic // heat-pump energy (heat in the air) to heat our domestic water, eco-friendly cleaning products, optional towel changes mid week, and selling arts & Crafts by local people to name but a few. Our idea is to provide luxury, BUT with a consciousness on the impact on the environment, by respecting the seasons and what they offer. We are also very lucky to have a Organic farmer nearby with Polley-tunnels, which means they have Veggies ready long before ours are and supplement ours. Fruits are bought from our local market and very tasty because they are sun ripened and fresh, but unfortunately are not always organic. However we believe in a balance to keep a healthy gut, but a smile on your heart.
