Ayelen Paola Aguilar

Ayelen Aguilar, 48, is a passionate designer, adventure traveler, wife, and un-schooling mother of two. Hitch-hiking alone from Ushuaia to the Arctic Ocean at the age of 21, she set into motion a lifestyle of solo adventure interspersed with periods of work as an instructor in rock climbing and skiing.Long journeys by bicycle across Europe, SE Asia, and Japan honed her levels of self-reliance and confidence to a degree that made it hard for most men to cope with. Teaming up with explorer Mark Anstice in 2008 she embarked upon a 15-year project to self-build, with whatever money they had managed to save each summer in Ibiza, a family home and evolution retreat center on the Atlantic Coast of Morocco.Along the way they have walked across Western China with a camel, and across the mountains of Kyrgyzstan with two donkeys. A natural people-reader and mindset coach, Ayelen has been helping people expand their horizons for over a decade.
