Ariana De León Ortoll

Yoga is Ari’s medicine.Teaching is her way of sharing a practice she knows truly works—one that brings meaning, grounding, and a sense of purpose, offering a tool that supports and enriches life.During this retreat, Ari will guide slow, intuitive yoga practices that support deep presence, nervous-system regulation, and reconnection with the body’s natural intelligence. The sessions invite softness, awareness, and space—allowing each participant to move, rest, and breathe in a way that feels genuinely nourishing.Ari took her first yoga class in 2007, accompanying a friend. She doesn’t remember what type of yoga it was, nor the postures themselves—only savasana, the final pose. The experience of fully letting go of the body was fascinating: a pause, a deep exhale, a refreshing reset. She began practicing regularly, and in 2011 completed her first Hatha Yoga teacher training in Venezuela, where she taught her first classes as an assistant to her teacher, Juan Carlos Priyananda. After moving to Madrid, Ari explored Bikram Yoga, drawn to the warmth during winter and to the deep self-observation that comes from repeating a fixed sequence.Having spent much of her life training as a dancer, she was equally nourished by the physical challenge of the practice.Naturally curious, Ari continued studying at the Sivananda school while also attending Iyengar classes weekly. In 2014, she discovered Ashtanga Yoga and found a method that deeply resonated with her.Over time, and through years of teaching and continued study, Ari’s practice has evolved into a slower, more intuitive approach—one that honors rhythm, breath, and inner listening. In 2018, she completed her Ashtanga teacher training at the Traditional Ashtanga Yoga Shala Phuket, where she later studied Pranayama anatomy, spinal yoga therapy, and Yoga Nidra.Since 2019, Ari has been dedicated to teaching in yoga studios, gyms, and private sessions. In January 2024, she created Yoga Room, her own space to share everything she continues to learn and embody along this path. She continues to study every year with teachers such as John Scott, Ty Landrum, and Talia Sutra.
