Apneista

Apneista is the first freediving school in Bali, established on the beachfront of Jemeluk Bay in Amed — one of the island's most beautiful and least crowded coastlines. The school sits directly at the water's edge, with calm 45-metre depths accessible just a hundred metres from shore, making it one of the most logistically ideal freediving locations in Southeast Asia.Courses run from complete beginner introductions through to instructor level, grounded in the Molchanovs freediving system. But what distinguishes Apneista from a technical standpoint is the depth of its integration between freediving science and the practices of yoga, meditation, and breathwork — not as complementary extras, but as foundational elements of the teaching methodology itself.Training takes place across a beachside classroom, a purpose-built 25-metre pool at the sister facility Blue Earth Village, and the open water of Jemeluk Bay. Daily yoga classes, a café, and a genuinely international community of freedivers make the school as much a place to inhabit as a place to learn.
