Zefea Samson

Zefea had her first experience with yoga at the age of 4 when her parents practiced with renowned teacher Angela Farmer in the Iyengar tradition. In her twenties, she trained in different physical exercises like boxing and the combat system Krav Maga. Zefea rediscovered the benefits of yoga when she started practicing Bikram Yoga in her hometown, Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Zefea graduated from Bikram’s Teacher Training in 2005. She represented the Netherlands as the Dutch gold medalist three times in the International Yoga Championships, finishing in the world’s top 10 in all three years. In 2009, Zefea and her husband Mark Drost founded Evolation Yoga with a desire to evolve the way the Primary Hot series is passed on and focus on a collective and community approach. They have since conducted hot yoga teacher trainings. Over 345 trainings and more than 3,000 trainees later, Zefea feels that they truly have developed an inspiring and effective service for not only aspiring Hot but also Flow and Yin teachers. Zefea is thrilled to take this experience to the next level with the Evolation Training and to work with so many amazing teachers. In every training, she keeps learning and growing herself and aims to improve further on what she can offer her students.
