The Great Mahakala

The Great Mahakala is a tax-exempt, non-profit organization incorporated in the state of Florida and registered under the United States Internal Revenue Code Statute 501(c)3.Our mission is to spread compassion and heal the community by sponsoring and presenting uplifting spiritual and cultural events. We maintain a Retreat House in Miami, Florida which is available for group retreats and individual retreats.We offer holistic vegan cooking classes, meditation classes, Native American ceremonies, Buddhist teachings, and other inspiring programs.We also provide support for different spiritual masters and their organizations in India, Nepal, Bhutan, and Tibet. The organization takes its name from the Buddhist protector deity. And to this effect, the Great Mahakala aims to preserve, protect and make available, the wisdom of traditional peoples, their inherent spirituality, the enlightened tradition, and its inspiring worldview.The Great Mahakala’s events and programs put forth the simple truth that happiness comes from within and that it is our birthright.
