Takinuna Healing Centre is an intimate, family-run space dedicated to deep healing through the guidance of Amazonian plant medicine and integrative therapeutic care. Located just 40 minutes by boat from Iquitos, our center is immersed in the lush, living heart of the Peruvian rainforest—offering a rare chance to step away from the distractions of modern life and reconnect with the rhythms of nature and spirit. Founded and guided by native Amazonian shamans, Takinuna is rooted in ancestral healing traditions passed down through generations. Our ceremonies are led with great care, using freshly prepared medicine and guided by sacred icaros—healing songs that direct the energy of the plants and support each participant’s unique process. What makes our center truly special is the integration of traditional medicine with modern, trauma-informed psychotherapy. Our team includes a licensed psychotherapist (MA in Art Psychotherapy and Nature-Based Therapy) who supports guests through emotional integration and creative expression. This multidisciplinary approach allows for a deep, grounded, and embodied healing experience. We work in small groups only, ensuring safety, personal attention, and a sense of community. All participants receive daily one-on-one consultations, personalized plant treatments, and after-care guidance to help integrate the experience into daily life. Accommodations are simple and open to nature, with large screened windows, wooden floors, and natural materials. In alignment with our vision of reconnection and simplicity, the center operates without electricity in the rooms—allowing you to fully unplug and align with the natural rhythms of light, rest, and presence. Solar lights are available in common areas for your comfort. While the center is secluded, it is also well-connected, with Iquitos accessible within 30 minutes by river—offering both full immersion in the jungle and peace of mind. Takinuna is not a place for tourism—it is a sacred space for those who feel the call to heal deeply, to remember their inner truth, and to walk in connection with the living world.
