Strathean Retreat Centre

About Strathean Strathean is a spiritual retreat centre based near Otaki (just under a 1-hour drive from Wellington), that is available for groups of all practices to hire and host retreats for up to 30 people. The atmosphere is peaceful and spiritually inviting. Tall native trees, spacious and comfortable bedrooms all contribute to the quiet and restful energy. History Strathean Retreat Centre has been used as a retreat centre for around fifty years. It was previously owned and cared for by the Wellington Study Group, who used it both for their own retreats and for hiring it to other groups for their use. Many of the trees have been planted in honour of members of the Wellington Study Group, as well as the Auntie Jean fern garden. We are privileged to take Strathean on the next step of its journey and to enhance the property that they cared for so well Strathean's Vision
