Kalari Ashramam is a traditional Gurukulam nestled amidst the forests, lakes, and mountain ranges of Kerala, dedicated to the living transmission of Kalaripayattu, one of the world's oldest martial arts.Founded under the guidance of Gurukkal Shinto Mathew, a master with over 20 years of experience and recognition from the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR), the Ashramam revives the ancient Gurukul system, where students don't just train physically, but live, learn, and grow under the direct care of the Guru.We offer residential programs that immerse participants in the full spectrum of Kalaripayattu: Meithari body conditioning, animal postures (Vadivu), weapon forms (Kolthari), traditional Kalari Uzhichil massage, Ayurvedic healing, organic sattvic meals, and meditation.Life here is unhurried, clean, and deeply transformative, far from the noise and pollution of city life.
