It all started with a crystal. My mentor and Shaman, Jim Kobus, presented me with Moldavite 8 years ago, the only extra-terrestrial gemstone in existence that is derived from a combination of molten Earth and stardust. In Eastern Europe— the country of Moldova was hit by a meteor in 1983, and so the chemistry of Earth and sky birthed this unique and powerful energy. Moldavite is known for activating the crown chakra, bringing you not what you want, but what you need. Since this moment, when a present was presented to me in the present moment, I realized my life was not my own but rather we are on a journey, inner and outer, to discover and uncover the meaning and mysteries of our existence. Life often teaches us how to guard ourselves from the myriad fears of ‘what could go wrong.’ How about a place designed to support, promote and accelerate those ideas that urge us to leap into ‘what could go right.’ Our philosophy is steeped in rich esoteric practices of Energy Medicine drawing on traditions ranging from Chinese Taoist philosophy, Qi Gong, and Quantum Physics to the Vedic traditions of Samkhya, Tantra, and Yoga. We also apply concrete scientific practices of ideokinesiology and inner child work to aid in trauma healing. Diet and exercise will be emphasized during your experience to treat the whole human being: Mind, Body, and Spirit. At Sanctuary Retreats, we believe in the power of the mind, body, and spirit to become a vessel for higher intelligence. We will not bombard you with taxing left-brain activity asking you to control your drive and destiny by force; rather, we aim to train a new muscle that our combined decades of practice and research have revealed to us a unique power.
