Raffa Martinez

Raffa Martínez is a musician-percussionist and plastic artist. He has dedicated more than a decade to the integration of art and spirituality, with music as the main vehicle of expression. Trained as a percussionist in West Africa, he has participated in numerous folk and traditional events and festivals on all continents, being an integral member of different musical groups, accompanying artists of international stature (Guem, Mamadou Kante, Bambara, Gowlé Yiri, Mankava…) His restlessness and internal search led him to incorporate music and art with his spiritual practice, from meditation and Yoga to performing pujas (Vedic fires), Bhakti, and Mantra Yoga to later be initiated into the fourth level of the tradition. Andean mysticism at the hands of the Q'eros priests, a people descended from the Inkas. The purpose of his ceremonial artistic proposal is to serve the community in and towards the awakening of consciousness. Raffa Martínez is also an accompanying musician for artists belonging to the Kirtan, Bhakti Yoga, and Spiritual Music movement, international references such as Ajeet Kaur, Jai Uttal, Mirabai Ceiba, Peia, Tina Malia, Nessi Gomes, Brenda McMorrow, David Newman... This Catalan artist develops his human potential to manifest and capture beauty, sensitivity, consciousness, and art, offering spaces for meditation, devotional songs, Kirtan, Bhakti Yoga, medicine songs, and mantras. Raffa trained as a Siromani yoga at “The International Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Center” and teaches workshops, retreats, and Totemic Dance sessions within the framework of the ANKAKUNTUR School of Spiritual Art, of which he is co-creator and director. Always committed to the evolution of individual and collective consciousness, his dedication and dedication resulted in the creation of spaces of internal connection, always embellished by the floral art (mandala) that this multidisciplinary artist offers in each concert, like a seal. unmistakable.
