Our last accommodation: Parador de Santiago de CompostelaThe Parador de Santiago de Compostela is one of the oldest and most luxurious hotels in Spain. It is in the Plaza del Obradoiro next to the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela, one of the most visited cathedrals in the world, and has witnessed the passage of pilgrims over the centuries. It began as a Royal Hospital with the Catholic Monarchs to offer them shelter and today it’s known as Hostal dos Reis Católicos. The historic building preserves the Plateresque façade on the outside, four cloisters, elegant corridors and hallways, spectacular rooms, and a museum in its interior.
