Mr. Danny Ferland

Born in Québec in 1975, Danny Ferland was introduced to painting and drawing at a very young age by his father, who was himself a painter.During his adolescence, he devoted himself to imaginative art — inventing characters and scenes from his own imagination — seeking to preserve the freshness of artistic creation without relying on direct observation of the visible world.In his early twenties, he returned to observational drawing and painting, recognizing the importance of studying anatomy and the techniques of the Old Masters. His pursuit of knowledge led him to the Janus Collaborative School in New York, where he developed a lasting friendship with his instructors and deepened his artistic understanding.Within a few years, his training and participation in competitions earned him recognition among his peers and established his reputation as a skilled portraitist. In 2017, Danny was appointed to a coveted position at the Paris Academy of Art, further supporting his expanding international career.Today, he conducts numerous masterclasses each year and continues to share his expertise with artists around the world. Teaching, exchanging ideas, and connecting through art remain central to his practice.
