He is the founder of Shambhala Studio, specializing in films related to the Himalayan culture and Asian martial arts. From 2014 to 2019, he served as the spokesperson andchairman of the Himalayan Consensus Summit.Laurence received the United Nations Development Programme’s ChinaBiodiversity and Cultural Conservation Award, presented by JaneGoodall. As the spokesperson for a non-governmental organization atAt the United Nations Earth Summit (Rio+20), Laurence was alsorecognized by ScenaRio as one of 100 global opinion leaders selected toadvise the conference.
