Katrina Velez

Katrina has completed her first year at the California College of Ayurveda and received certification in Ayurveda Health Counseling, with plans to complete their four-year Ayurveda Doctor program.She has also completed her Ayurveda culinary training under award-winning chef Divya Alter, through her school, ANACT. Katrina’s training falls under the Shaka Vansiya lineage of Ayurveda, which has a specific focus on food as medicine.The Shaka Vansiya philosophy teaches how to make food without losing its life-giving force, prana, and has shared handed-down secrets and recipes kept in the integrity of the original classical teachings.Her passion is in connecting with nature and creating equitable and passive systems of health that offer Ayurveda as seva, or service, to all.
