Resident Shaman at SachaRuna's Amazon Retreat Center Born in Santa Cruz, Bolivia, Julio lived his entire life trying to fulfill an insatiable desire to uncover the mysteries hidden behind the curtains of reality and the self. The COVID-19 quarantine gave him a 360-degree life turnaround when he decided to explore different states of consciousness. Beginning with daily meditation and yoga, he experienced for the first time the all-pervading Divine Presence, which led him to discover precious teachers, lineages, and practices. Among those, he undertook a serious apprenticeship in Amazonian and Andean Shamanism with the SachaRuna community, which included rigorous and strenuous fasts, diets, retreats, etc. He has now been serving as a full-fledged Shaman for years with great results. His innate compassion and devotion, combined with great capacities and abilities, enable him to catalyze, nourish, contain, and bring to fruition people’s life-changing transformation. He’s committed to a new way of life based on presence, compassion, and service, to achieve Enlightenment and lead all true seekers toward the same goal.
