Johanna Garton

Johanna Garton is a sportswriter, runner, mother, yogi, and cross-country coach who lives and writes in Denver.Johanna’s first book, Awakening East, is the story of the adoption of her two children from China as babies and her family’s move to China to live for one year when the children were ages four and nine.Her second book Edge of the Map tells the story of American high-altitude mountaineer Christine Boskoff and is currently being developed into a feature film. Edge was awarded runner-up in the category of creative nonfiction by the Colorado Book Awards.All in Stride, Johanna's third book, is the story of three professional athletes, two who were born in Kenya and moved to the United States to pursue the American Dream. Stride was awarded runner up, Sports Book of the Year by the American Writing Awards and also runner up in the category of creative nonfiction.
