Hamnskär

Hamnskär is a remote island in Finland, shaped entirely by ancient rock, ice, and sea.It has no electricity, very few structures, and remains largely untouched, with life guided by natural rhythms rather than modern infrastructure.Our family has been connected to the island since the 1970s, gradually building its simple houses and sauna by hand with local help.Daily life is slow and elemental—swimming, walking the rocks, resting in nature, and ending the day with sauna and sea immersion.Long kept private, the island is now shared as a natural extension of You Are The Sea, as its raw simplicity and stillness deeply support the experience of presence, connection, and inner reset.
