Michelle LeHegarate is a Canadian-born yoga teacher and the founder of Two Rivers Yoga. Originally from a small town in British Columbia, she began her professional life in retail banking before making a decisive shift in 2017 to pursue teaching yoga full-time, a move inspired by a desire to live and work more authentically.Now based in Mexico, Michelle leads teacher trainings and workshops internationally and has guided students across North and South America. With more than 7,000 hours of teaching experience and over 40 teacher trainings led, she is dedicated to helping students and teachers build practices that are both grounded and sustainable.Her greatest passions are Vinyasa, Yin Yoga, and Yoga Nidra. She is known for weaving together the traditional roots of yoga, including philosophy, Sanskrit, and history, with modern and accessible applications that support today’s practitioners. Her teaching is complemented by additional training in prenatal and restorative yoga, allowing her to hold space for students across many stages of life and practice.Michelle values curiosity, inclusivity, and lifelong learning, and brings a sense of humor and humanity into everything she teaches.
