Finca Las Hormigas

Finca Las Hormigas is an organic permaculture farm located near Puerto Viejo in the Caribbean jungle of Costa Rica. It offers a space for connecting with nature and learning about regenerative farming practices.The farm is rustic and fully off-grid -- harvesting its energy from the sun and its water from the rain. There is Wi-Fi in the common area but not in the bungalows so that you can disconnect and reconnect to nature. No hot water in the showers because the jungle is hot enough, and cold showers are rejuvenating. There is everything you need to be comfortable and happy, but no extra frills.The farm hosts various workshops, retreats, and work exchange programs covering topics like permaculture, natural building, herbalism, and well-being. Facilities include private and shared bungalows, a yoga & meditation shala, classrooms, and hiking trails. The farm-to-table dining experience features dishes made with organic ingredients from the farm or local producers.
