Despina Papaioannou

Born in Thessaloniki and raised in Epirus, her ancestral homeland, she has lived in Fokida since 2003. She holds a degree in Political Science from Panteion University, Athens, and a degree in Psychology from the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Ioannina. Her professional training includes Art Therapy at the Center for Art and Psychotherapy, Athens; Family Constellations at the Greek Bert Hellinger Institute with Dr. Dimitris Stavropoulos; and Systemic Psychotherapy at the Athens Center for the Study of Man.Since 2003, she has worked as an art therapist and psychotherapist in private practice, at the Agios Nikolaos Home in Galaxidi (2004–2011), and with the P. Sakellaropoulos Society of Social Psychiatry in Fokida (2005–present). She is a member of the Hellenic Association of Art Psychotherapists and the European Association of Psychotherapy (EAP).
