Damian Pacaya Rodriguez is an Indigenous Shipibo Onanya Maestro from the native community of Nuevo Nazareth in the Ucayali basin of the Amazon of Peru.Maestro Damian, Senuye, meaning “everything in equality,” is a devoted, powerful, and humble Traditional Medico (Healer).His Life trajectory led him to inherit his Ancestral Lineage through his grandfather and carry on the knowledge passed onto him. It wasn’t until his grandfather passed that he sought out his uncle to help Damian heal himself, thus catapulting him into the Path of Curanderismo.Before Damian committed to his life as a Healer, he was fully dedicated to his career in Agroforestry, offering him a plethora of experience and skill in working with the Plants, later translating into a natural intimate understanding of the Shipibo Pharmacology.Maestro Damian carries a clear vision for the future, as he works with tremendous dedication, humility and love in honoring the Sacredness of the healing work with the Plants.Those who know Damian can attest to his incredibly caring nature and the fountain of Wisdom that he is.
