My yoga journey began almost 20 years ago, and I was immediately hooked!! I saw how quickly flexibility came to my body and the benefits that came along with it, recognizing that this practice was much more than just exercise. Twenty years later, I still practice most days, and it has completely changed my lifestyle, moving me from the corporate world to a holistic one.My first teacher training was in 1999 at the Sivananda Ashram in Kerala, South India, where I learned Hatha Yoga and Philosophy.Since then, my practice moved on toward Ashtanga Vinyasa, which I have been teaching for over 10 years. I studied in Mysore with Sri Patthabi Jois, Certified Instructors Rolf Naujokat, Nancy Gilgoff, Danny Paradise, to name a few, and Teacher Training with David Swenson in 2001. From 2004, I was lucky enough to study under the guidance of Radha and Pierre for 3 years on the island of Crete in Greece, and spent 10 years teaching at Bramhani Yoga in Goa, India, where I also assisted on the Teacher Training Programmes. I have taught in Thailand, the UK, Iceland, and Spain. Since moving to Australia in 2008, I have intensively studied Iyengar yoga with Glenn Cerescoli and taught in Byron Bay. I have also studied Pranayama for 10 years in India with Emil Wendel. Over the last few years, I have been embarking on a new yoga path of Yin Yoga. I studied with Mysan Sibdo in Sydney, having qualified in 2014. Yin is a much gentler form, holding the poses for longer and relaxing into them. I have been incorporating Yin into my weekly practice and seeing firsthand the benefits.Yoga is my passion, and I love sharing the knowledge I have gained along the way.
