Amaia Luko Azkue

Amaia began her professional life as a teacher, an experience she loved deeply until she felt the need to live closer to nature. She followed this calling, moving to a small island in Portugal where she began to grow her family.After a 7 month sailing trip to the Caribbean, with her boyfriend and 6 month old daughter, she experienced the magic of ‘Atma Janzu’ water therapy.An experience that changed her life and led her to realize that water was her home. Amaia gave birth to two more children within the element of water, receiving incredibly deep and moving experiences, and afterward continued her water journey training in ‘Liquid Cosmos’ therapy and began her exploration of underwater dance. Since her training, Amaia has continued to practice and offer treatments wherever she can find warm water.Since a very young age she has dedicated her life to dance and movement practices, she is also trained in and offers practices in ‘Gravity Yoga’ and ‘Breath work.' Amaia believes in the importance of connecting the body, the mind and soul through movement, and that connection between human beings is crucial for a life lived in joy and balance. For Amaia, water is the place within which she can reach her deepest potential.
